I've tested 1.97 and all of the changes in the new release are working as expected. Nice job, Greg. Thanks for the fixes!

Greg, I've been using RM quite a bit this last week, and just wanted to say what a nice tool this is. At some point you "told" me that RM was a more intuitive than KM. I never appreciated that statement, because I hadn't worked with the complicated protocols. But I just muddled my way through a couple of Pioneer upgrades and a Nec 4dev Combo and I must say that RM really shined when dealing with those complicated protocols. Thanks for all your hard work.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Greg,

I think I've found a bug in 1.98beta4. If you start a new upgrade, NEC1 protocol and enter a device number like 133, the fixed data does not change. If you then save or change tabs, the number disappears. If you enter 0133, it works fine. The subdevice box has the same issue. I was using the 15-133 RDF.

Greg,

This version isn't working very well for me. It appears to ignore the remote type in my RMDU files and just uses whatever remote I used last. I get the same result with every file on 2 different computers. Any ideas?

This is the java version BTW, not the exe.

Thanks

More info. I see that it also ignores the remote model I pick from the dialog if it can't find a match when it loads. I tried a fresh install on XP and Vista with the same result. Beta4 works fine.

Thanks for the fix!

Greg,

I just noticed something in 1.98beta6. THIS upgrade of mine is NEC1 device 133.237 which worked fine a few versions ago when I first created it. However, when I open it now in RM, I get device 307.567. Seems to be doing similar things with other NEC protocols as well (combo, etc.).

Thanks
