Try programming a keymove to the OK button to see how it shows up in IR.

If I create a device upgrade an map the button to OK there is allready a keymive created. But it does not work .. I will try to learn something to the OK Button to see if it is a general Problem with the OK Key and the related code, or maybe a problem with the device-upgrade itself. Well the OK Function is working on another key - I allready tried this.

I'm pretty sure Rob means create a keymove on the OK button USING THE REMOTE, NOT via IR.exe. Manually create this keymove, and then download the remote INTO IR to see where that Keymove is stored.

Exactly. Either create a keymove on the remote or learn something to the OK button, either one will reveal it's keycode if the macro method didn't.

While revising the map and image file I noticed two issues with the RDF file. First, there are two "TV" buttons, one for the TV device key, and one for the "Text off" key right of the "0" key (the same button as the "AV" button). The name of one of them should change. The other is a minor issue, but the rewind key is labeled "REV", which I supposed could mean reverse, but to keep it consistent with other remotes, should probably be "REW".

Good morning everyone,

I just forget that the remote can be programed without IR.exe :-)

I've never done a Key-Move withiut IR. Is this the function which is called "Key Magic" by OFA ?

Anyway - I just learned the missing "OK" Function to the "OK" Button and this worked without problem. In the list of learned keys I see DVD:ok and the button is working now. Maybe in this remote the OK key is allways shifted ?

This is the Data from the learned signal:

F2 20 1E 00 DE 05 01 B9 B0 14 03 67 03 84 01 B9
03 82 03 75 01 B8 01 B9 01 BC 8C 44 44 44 44 32
10

For the TV Button and the REV/REW, I will change it and put together everything we have so far and upload it to the Diagarea.

I still don't know what happens to the [ButtonMaps] and the [DigitMaps]
in the RDF File.

OK I will upload the files later today.

Code: Select all

This is the Data from the learned signal:
F2 20 1E 00 DE 05 01 B9 B0 14 03 67 03 84 01 B9
03 82 03 75 01 B8 01 B9 01 BC 8C 44 44 44 44 32
10
The first byte in this learned signal says the keycode for OK=$F2. If IR7 is displaying DVD:OK, that means you don't have LearnedDevBtnSwapped=Yes set in the [General] section of the RDF. The second byte should be 22 with the high nibble=2 for learned data and low nibble=2 for DVD device mode.

Can you make sure there are no trailing spaces after the 'Yes' word? We had that issue with someone else. What you'll notice in IR7 is that all learned signals will be mapped to the same device mode(DVD in your case) no matter what mode you learned it to(i.e TV or VCR).

Ok there was a space after the "yes" and I removed it. I will try to test it later but honestly - my neighbor came over for a barbecue and I drunk some beer ..

I will continue whe I feel clear again .. sorry

I have just updated the RDF to include all of the recent changes, including removing the space after the learned swap entry. I have also made the button names more RM friendly.

You'll also need Nils to create a map for you in order for this to be totally RM ready. Here's the biggest image of the remote that I could find on the web

Here's an image that shows the numeric buttons screen

I've revised the image and map files based on the latest key names in the RDF file:
