That's why I don't bet on horses - my uncanny knack for guessing wrong...
Remotes: OFA XSight Touch, AR XSight Touch TVs: LG 65" Smart LED TV; Samsung QN850BF Series - 8K UHD Neo QLED LCD TV RCVR: Onkyo TX-SR875; Integra DTR 40.3 DVD/VCR: Pioneer DV-400VK (multi-region DVD), Sony BDP-S350 (Blu-ray), Toshiba HD-A3 (HD-DVD), Panasonic AG-W1 (Multi-system VCR); Laserdisc: Pioneer CLD-D704. Amazon Firestick tape deck: Pioneer CT 1380WR (double cassette deck) (But I still have to get up for my beer)
This is working for me. Can you provide 2 .rmir files so I can reproduce the issue?

Thanks,

P.S. I completed the experiment with starting from scratch and can confirm all the bugs you have fixed to date for me are fixed.
However I cannot get it to do it consistently. I thought it had something to do with using the 'recent' menu, then thought it was if I brought up RM from RM-IR... But neither did it all the time though I did see it inconsistently.
Anyway I will play with it more and see if I can find a repeatable sequence.
[EDIT] Ah - found it. Click in a cell on the 'General' tab (I used 2:Cable) when opening the other file, this causes it not to update the devices tab correctly.
