Hi again,

I just played a bit with the rdf File but in the RDF there are far more buttons as are available on the remote. Further I tried to programm the navigation (hard-) buttons but without success. It looks like the adresses of the keys are different from the 8206.

The numbers power, , chan+/- and vol+/- keys are working !

I started to create a image and a map of the remote and made a picture which shows the different states of the el-display. I'm far away to get this all together to a working rdf , image and map file. Maybe someone with more experiance could take a look at it.

I did this the way some other Kameleon remotes were done, with all the labels shown and mapped to that portion of the button. It will need to be revised once the RDF is completed with the correct button labels and extra keys removed, but it's a starter file like the RDF. Once it's finalized I will upload it to the RDF section.

this looks much better than my version ! Very nice. Only the Skip+/- key which are placed at the 1 and 3 are missing.

Great work !

As far as I can see we need the correct RDF File to name the buttons, and in the rdf file the different modes TV / VCR / DVD are defined ..

Ok let's see how things re progressing - Anything I can do ?

This is as expected. Like I said before, I just grabbed the button codes from the URC-8206 because I didn't have anything else to go on. What you need to do next is create a bunch of macros that reference all of the buttons, then correct the RDF so that the macros display correctly in IR.

Hi,

this is a good Idea ! With Macros I see every KEy even if it's not defined (like Key15 which then must be translated to hex) but there is allready one strange thing. If I press the "OK" Button IR.EXE told me I pressed "SHIFT Key114" but this isn't shifted.

If I press the Magic just before the OK Button, I see "Magic" in the List of Buttons but the OK isn't unshifted.

Any advice ?

You should be using MAGIC-995 to program macros on your remote. Make a note of which buttons you've pressed and then when you download from the remote using IR7, look under the Macros Tab to make sure it matches. If it doesn't, edit the RDF file using a text editor like NotePad.

Yes that's waht I'm doing right now. But I don't know whta a "Shift Key114" means - Why is the "OK" Button a Shift Key and how can I define it in the RDF File

Don't worry about the shifted buttons, they'll be calculated automatically for you.

Hmm .. I just tried to create a device upgrade to add my MediaMVP Remote as a DVD Device to the 8203. It all runs fine except the "oK" button. I get it working by pressing Magic-OK which is the Shiftet Version. But I can't get it to work by using the "normal" OK ...

After maping the button in RM the SHIFT Version is maped (well thats because the $F2 is the SHIFT OK .. but how can I get the OK working ?
