KM compatibility with Excel 2007

Post by gnm313 »

I just upgraded to Excel 2007 and I now can't execute KM. It appears from the MS Knowledgebase that the functions that used to be part of the Analysis ToolPak are now native. My guess is this is the problem. Any other developers out there that have tried KM with Excel 2007.

This was pointed out when Excel 2007 was in beta. I researched it and couldn't come up with a solution. It does have to do with the fact that the Analysis ToolPak function are now native within Excel, so the tricks we were using them with in KM no longer work. Until Mike England or myself get a chance to actually test KM with Excel '07, I wouldn't venture a guess as to whether a workaround is possible.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad I have other PCs to play with and it isn't me.

Any new updates on how to get Excel 2007 to work with the latest version of KM?

The Toolpak functions have been removed from the latest version of KM, so it should work with Excel 2007.

I can confirm that Keymap-Master v9.08 works in Excel 2007 on Vista. Of course, I switched to RemoteMaster so it doesn't matter so much to me! :)
