I heard that many OEMs use UEI-supplied remotes. As I have a very handy remote for my Denon AVR-1803, the RC-917, I thought, maybe Denon uses UEI equipment, too?
Yes, I could look in there for myself, but I don't really get the remote open, and before I break it, I thought I'd ask the forum...
Denon RC-917 - is it UEI/JP1-compatible?

Well, it's not listed as a JP1 remote in THIS excel spreadsheet and I have never personally heard of any Denon remotes being made by UEI, so you'll likely have to pry it open and check it out.
BUT... what makes you think it might be a UEI remote?
Does it have a 6-pin connector?
Does it use a process similar to other JP1 remotes for programming various functions and selecting setup codes?
Other evidence to make you suspect this?
