Error learning Tivo rewind

Post by juststeve »

My 9910 was able to learn tivo's forward key but when I learned rewind IR(6.00 DecodeIR 2.14) tossed an error:

This signal contain a section thtat IR doesn't know how to analyze.

It is interesting that IR/DecodeIR couldn't analyze that TiVo signal.

However, there is no need for you to learn any signals from the TiVo. IT is a well known device here. Device upgrades are available, and we know all the advanced codes.

Advanced codes for TiVo.

Out of curiosity, which TiVo is it?

The error doesn't matter. IR decodes that signal correctly anyway (Tivo-NEC unit=0, device=133 subdevice=48, obc=34).

Hughes Series 2 is enough. The Sonys and some of the DVD combos use different IR signals, but the "regular" TiVos, and the DirecTV TiVos all use the same IR signals.
