RCA Combo (w/ duration)

Post by Ironbreeze »

Currently I have my TV using the "RCA Combo (Official)" protocol. But I'm having a problem with the Dicrete On not having a long enough duration in macro mode for my tv to turn on, unless I do the hold down the button and have it as the last command trick.
Well I just noticed that there is a "RCA Combo (w/Duration)" protocol in KM that would seem to be just the thing that I need. I could simply increase the duration of the Discrete On function which is currently EFC 227, byte2=dev 15. The problem is that I don't know how to tell it what duration I want for this function. I tried 15 15 for byte2 (similar to the "Device Combiner" protocol), but KM didn't seem to like that.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

The Duration is entered on the Setup sheet in the protocol parameters. The byte2 entry on the Functions sheet is for specifying the device number.

Oh, you mean the cell RIGHT UNDER the cell where I just chose the new protocol, that's clearly labeled Duration. I think it's time for me to make an eye appointment. At least this time I posted my stupid question in the area where there are no stupid questions.
Thanks Mark,

Yeah, you got lucky this time, but next time you might not be so lucky! :)
