Tried the 1987 device code set-up for the input command and it works like a charm. Thanks for the advice and guidance.

This remote only requires a 3 digit device code (although the code is listed as a 4 digit code in IR). I was wondering if that would make a difference. I don't understand the significance of the device code in RM. Does it make a difference what code I use? I thought it simply had to be away from the ...

Trying to upgrade an Scienfic Atlanta ER1 Remote
I have a JVC Av36D201 TV and a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200 cable box. The cable box came with a SA ER1 3 button remote. The SA remote is programmed with cbl code 0891, TV code 0067, and VCR code 0176. Don't use the VCR, but the cable box and tv both work fine with the ER1 remote. There is one ...

Error Message - Downloading Atlas PVR 5 device remote
I broke down and built a JP1.2 cable and interfaced it with my Atlas 5 Device PVR (day) remote. The interface checked out fine and after finding the correct rdf file for the remote (the one created by binky; the other two did not work at all), I got IR.exe to download the codes from the remote. I ...

I was hoping there was a 4 digit code available that could be simply entered into the remote as opposed to buying or building a new interface cable (which I don't have because the Atlas remote is a JP1.3 interface (which I can't find any details on any website)), programming up the new command codes ...

ATLAS DVR/PVR 5 Device Programming
Am trying to program the subject remote to control my AKAI PDP4273M Plasma Display. The URC Support Website hasn't got the control codes for this TV. The remote uses JP1.3 interface, but I do not intend to buy or create an interface for this remote. All I want to do is to program in the correct code ...

Help with RM/IR
I have programmed my 8811 to control 4 devices: a AKAI PDP4273M plasma display, a Scientic Atlanta 3200 cable box, a Panasonic VCR and a Panasonic HT900 HTIB. I used RM to introduce a set-up already done by someone else and learned the all of the AKAI codes using the 8811 learning capability. These ...

When it occured, there was no way to point RM to the RDF file folder. It somehow got directed to the file folder above it. Re-installing it cured the problem. Still can't find where the files are saved. Everytime you exit the program, it asks you if you want to save it, which I do, but there is no ...

Help with RM Ver 1.62
Have attemtpted to use RM Ver 1.62 to create a set-up code for an AKAI PDP4273M HDTV plasma display. Have used it in conjunction with an OFA 8811 learning remote and have successfully programmed the 8811. Had some interesting issues, however. First attempt I downloaded a device code file for my ...
