Error Message - Downloading Atlas PVR 5 device remote

Post by DougD »

I broke down and built a JP1.2 cable and interfaced it with my Atlas 5 Device PVR (day) remote. The interface checked out fine and after finding the correct rdf file for the remote (the one created by binky; the other two did not work at all), I got IR.exe to download the codes from the remote. I got one error message as follows: "There is a conflict at fixed data address $0205. Do you want to replace the existing data with the fixed data? Y/N" I am a bit confused since I was trying to download from the remote, so I assume that existing data means the data resident in the remote. Is the fixed data the message refers to the data that originates from the rdf file? Or is it the other way around? And does one respond yes or no to the question? Thanks.

The messages refers to data in the [Fixed Data] section of the RDF. It could be your remote has slightly different data than the Atlas 5 PVR with Day JP1.3 remote that we originally used to build the RDF. Can you post your IR file? I will modify the RDF to use a common subset or remove the Fixed Data section altogether.

Thanks. I've updated the RDF to use only the first five bytes. I tried loading your .IR file and it loads without any error now.
