Back again - Hope to update to using JP1 tools in Win7-64bit

I've been gone for awhile (again).

I have several new devices and I finally hooked up my PC after a move. The PC dual boots to XP (with JP1 software setup on it) and Win7-64bit.

I haven't tried to install my USB JP1 cable or IRwidget (1st gen) yet while using Win7. I can still dual boot into XP ...

Errors I see:
A) SDA is being Held Low. Make sure batteries are installed
B) Bad checksum at address $0000. Expected $80 $7f, but found $e6 $19
C) SDA being held high
Think both were caused by loose batteries (bottom of remote pointed down)

After initial errors 10x DLs were fine

C and B persisted ...

Do you want only downloads?

To be honest - I doubt I'll get 10-15 good in a row. Some times I have to do it 2-3 times before it takes.

I'm sorta use to this from the parallel version of the cable I used a few years ago on a different xp machine and OLDER versions of IR/KM/RDFs etc

The last time I ...

Not sure if this is the preferred place but I have to suggestions/request for IR SCOPE software.

A) Scaleable font (or size selectable) for the main windows columns/row - I like entering data into KM manually from IR SCOPE and my eyes are not getting any younger

B) OPTION to have NOTE field pop up ...

Thanks for the reminders on what to upload and where to find the faq about it.

I'm going to chalk this up to a glitch or bad uploads.

I recaputred all the signals (I didn't save the .idt or summary).
Rebult the update from scratch.
DL'ed the remote
Deleted last night's upgrade - Pasted today ...

Quick response before work:

A) Only that device is wonky
B) I'll look at the suggested diag sticky later
C) Widget test - Quick test of 3x buttons shows IBC does not match what I programmed into KM... Never had this before...
D) correct type of device upgrade - unless blu ray doesn't count at a dvd ...

Device Update not working at all - Blu Ray - HTPRO

I learned all the buttons for a blu ray player via the IR widget.

I created the update in KM, created a few keymoves for the device button in IR, pasted the update to IR, uploaded to remote.

Took remote to that room and none of the devices buttons are working (except for the keymoves - receiver ...

bob_m,
You mentioned using "* Tommy Tyler's Original JP1 USB eeprom plug (newly aquired)"
It's not 100% clear to me what this means.
The little plug is designed to use the JP1.2 or JP1.3 cable. Designed for flash remotes, but with the little plug is used for JP1 eeprom remotes. That cable+plug ...

Looking for Reminder/Help - Volume Punch Thru

I can dig out my HTPRO manual and figure out how to do normal volume punch thrus.

However is there a way in IR/KM to do this that I am not seeing?

Well to clarify I "see" Keymoves inside IR from a remote that already has volume punch thru's programmed. However you have to know the IBC/Hex in this ...
