Tried to learn a signal from my Midi HiFi system remote - it is a tehnics HE-65 system component, and uses a Technics audio system remote ref # RAK-CH214WH

The button I wanted to decode was the CD button - this changes the input to the CD mode.
EFC Keymoves require that the base setup code have the right device number, not just the right protocol
I was thinking if he programmed say the DVD button to 0533, then used keymoves to recode all the buttons with the EFCs I have listed, that would work - I guess I was wrong?
These are the EFC s I have found to work - using 0636 as downloaded from OFA (for a urc8060)- I have modiffied that setup code to work on a URC7562, as I find that a lot easier to use with JP1
Is there a common set up code that uses the sony20 protocol - that is likely to be built in to a urc7550??
I friend has a 7550 (which I don't think has a modem?) and wanted to get it working with a sony SVR-S500 freeview PVR (UK) - OFA gave me a setup code of 0636 for my URC8060 - which uses the ...
I have a whole list of EFCs for dvd code 0490 (DVD 1) from OFA - I may need to change to DVD 2 on the remote, due to a second dvd machine...
Is there a simple way of using these EFCs on the dvd 2 code ( can't remember the set up code off the top of my head),or converting them to dvd 2 code; or do I ...
If you press the pvr button on the 8060 it goes directly to the screen you need.
Otherwise, (and better still) I have set up a macro on the device buttons, so that it automatically goes to the correct screen for that device. This can only be done by jp1 - you canot do it on the remote alone.
I actually used yours Rob, because of the key moves issue. With all the macros and keymoves I do, I am always short of space! So that worked out great.
Thanks also to Whompus - I could have easily used your file, but I actually DLed Robs first by chance
I purchased an 8040 for our kitchen, but unlike the 8060, it doesn't have the holes in the JP1 bit, for the pogo adapter - I guess some pins would need soldering, or a better system of getting the batteries and JP1 cable held steady would be needed.
I gave up trying, and did it all by hand - but it ...
I have found the most sucessful system on my 2 Kam 8060s is to use a small ball of solder wire (or other such metal packing material) to extend the - side batteries so that they protrude beyond the backing, then use a strip of metal (L shaped angle iron) to make the ...
Thanks to both of you - I have loaded the new upgrade file fine - what a difference that makes to the memory, compared to the bloated one ofa send out!!
I have also deleted the relevent files so the two download files can be deleted too if needed.
