RM bug re: Pioneer 3DEV vs. 4DEV

Post by Capn Trips »

In another thread, Rob explained the challenge with the UEIC Pioneer 3DEV executor. I understand the way KM deals with it. Unfortunately, I think RM doesn't deal with it quite as well.

Case in point.

Open this Pioneer 4DEV upgrade in KM.
Examine the functions sheet (in particular note the 2-byte functions in rows 18, 46, 49, 84 and 88-91).
Switch the protocol to Pioneer 3DEV.
Examine the same Functions and note the errors.
Switch the protocol back to 4DEV.
Examine the functions sheet - they have all been correctly restored.

Do this in RM and the corresponding functions are now altered.

Is there a way to have RM merely provide a similar ERROR or ALERT rather than altering the functions irrecoverably?

And now back to the topic of this thread:
