Updated Maps and Images for 10-14-03

If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

Updated Maps and Images for 10-14-03

Post by Nils_Ekberg »

Greg

I uploaded a complete set of RM ONLY RDF's to the jp1 group tools section that are compliant with RM ONLY since they have the generic button names. I think it would be best at this time to stop distributing the RDF's in the RM distribution and just point to these.

RM Only RDF's

NOTE: THESE RDFs WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY WITH THE CURRENT VERSION OF IR.EXE
Use those distributed with or for IR.EXE until the next release of IR.EXE

The following is just 3 maps to support the above RDF's uploaded to the jp1 group. They will need to be checked in at SourceForge.

RM Maps Updates

Both downloads are required for RM..........

I think the following files should be renamed to keep consistent with our effort to standardize the names.

Code: Select all

Current Filename: New Filename:
SA_7SA_7 (UEI Atlas DVR-PVR 5-Device).rdf..: SA_7SA_7 (Atlas DVR-PVR 5-Device).rdf
GIDAGID0 (General Instruments DRC 400).rdf.: GIDAGID0 (DRC400 General Instruments).rdf
GI2KG2K0 (Motorola DRC400).rdf.............: GI2KG2K0 (DRC400 Motorola).rdf
INTU (URC-31XXXB01 Intuitive).rdf..........: INTU (Intuitive URC-31XXXB01).rdf
CA00 (URC-43000B01 Navigator).rdf..........: CA00 (Navigator URC-43000B01).rdf
CYC0 (URC-44000B00 Navigator).rdf..........: CYC0 (Navigator URC-44000B00).rdf
CYC1 (URC-44000B02-B04 Navigator).rdf......: CYC1 (Navigator URC-44000B02-B04).rdf
RSL6RSX3 (15-1994 extender 3).rdf..........: RSL6RSX3 (RS 15-1994 extender 3).rdf
R6H0R6x1 (15-2104 extender 1).rdf..........: R6H0R6x1 (RS 15-2104 extender 1).rdf
6_80_2x3 (6012 x3 2K).rdf..................: 6_80_2x3 (URC-6012 x3 2K).rdf

Works for me. I just didn't start renaming since I didn't see a final decision. Maybe I missed it.

Do you see any in there that can be deleted. I am pretty sure I got rid of old dups but I am not 100% sure.

Thanks

I just uploaded version 1.01 of the RM only RDF's with the name changes suggested by Mark. These are external name changes only. Does anyone think we should go through the internal names?

Nils,

I uploaded my version of the RS 15-1994 with extender 5 rdf file to the JP1-KM files area. This rdf should only be used in RM for now.

RS 15-1994 Extender 5 RDF

Also, I noticed that you didn't include a generic name for the Center{Exit} button in all of the RS 15-1994 rdf files. I think the generic name should be "Exit." I've included this change in my rdf file.

Thanks Chris. I will include it. I wasn't sure which way to go on the Center{exit} but exit was my first choice but held off for a second pass.

"O80a (RS 15-1925 6-in-1 IR_RF).rdf" should be removed.

Not sure which of "O80a (RS 15-1925_1918_1919).rdf" or "O80a (RS 15-1925 and 15-1918 and 15-1919).rdf" is more current, but the use of underscores is more consisent with how other remotes are named.

It is also better for a new feature in v0.74, which will be coming soon.

Also, these sets of RDFs don't seem to have any internal differences, but the signatures are slightly different. This results in identical entries in RM which is confusing:

OEM3OEM0 (ReplayTV Version1).rdf
OEM3OEM1 (ReplayTV Version1).rdf

OEM3OEM0 (ReplayTV Version2).rdf
OEM3OEM2 (ReplayTV Version2).rdf

Is there anything that can be done about these?

My guess is that the OEM3OEM0 (ReplayTV Version2).rdf one can go based on the the 3 different signatures and this being the redundant one. That would leave the 3 signatures 0, 1 and 2. They should probably also be renamed version 1, 2 and 3.

I will investigate further but would welcome any comments.
