Emerson VCR/DVD combo (EWD2202)

Does anyone know how I find the 3 digit remote control code for this item? I bought a universal remote recently but don't know the code to get it to control my DVD/VCR player. The manual lists a number of Emerson codes for VCRs and I entered the first one and it allows me to control JUST the VCR portion. Is there a different one I use for an "Emerson DVD" player?

That appears to be the OEM remote (does it operate the VCR/DVD?), not a JP1 remote.

Oh, yes... I am sorry. It is the original remote. The remote that comes with the DVD/VCR does control all the functions of the unit.

I recently bought one of those Universal Remotes from Dollar Tree and got it to control my tv, but now wanted to get it to control the Emerson DVD/VCR player that I have. I haven't been able to find codes for DVD/VCR players, just one or the other. Using an Emerson VCR code I have been able to control the VCR portion. Do I need a specific code for both functions on this unit or do I need like separate VCR and DVD codes?

If it's not a JP1 or JP1.x remote manufactured by UEI you're not going to find much help here as those are the only remotes we specialize in.

You probably need to use separate codes for the VCR and DVD sides of your combo. This is not un-common.

As to which codes you should use, we have no idea as you're in the wrong forum. We deal with "One For All" and other UEI remotes here.
