Keymove for technics receiver

I learned a key from my receiver remote to my URC 8910. I then went to the learned signals section in IR to get the EFC code which is 030.

I then uploaded the extender and did a keymove to L1 with EFC 030, it doesn't work. No keymoves from my receiver remote seem to work, but keymoves from my other remotes work fine.

You'll need to give some further details. Are you using a built-in code to control it (if so, which one), or did you load an upgrade? If it's an upgrade, does it use 2-byte commands (that can't be entered as EFC's in a Key Move)?

I'm not using keymaster to create an upgrade. Without the extender I learned the code from my receiver remote to my 8910. The EFC code turned out to be 030. When I install the extender and do a keymove with code 030 it doesn't work. I also tried the same process with my panasonic vcr remote and no luck either. i think it has something to do with panasonic stuff, because technics is also panasonic.

What are the Protocol, Device, and Sub-Device settings from that learned signal?

Also, if the remote doesn't contain a valid setup code (either built-in or upgrade) that controls the device, a key move alone isn't going to work.

the protocol is Panasonic, device number is 160, sub-device number is 20

When you try to create the Key Move, what are you entering for the Device Type and Setup Code?

i'm selecting RCVR which has a setup code of 1308

You've been asking a lot of questions today, and in every case we've asked you for more information. You still aren't providing it.

When you ask these kinds of questions, the more information you provide, the more helpful we can be.

Always include which JP1 remote you are using (you've done this).
If there is a setup code that partially controls your device, tell us what that is (you haven't told us that). When you mention a setup code, always include the device type (e.g. Audio/0135) From this information we can figure out a lot.

When you learn a signal, upload the IR .txt so we can see how it gets decoded, or post more that just the EFC. We need to know the protocol name, the protocol parameters (usually things like device, sub-device, parm, unit code, etc), and the command decode (EFC, OBC and hex command).

ALso, when you create a keymove in IR, you must specify the device type and setup code. What did you use?

Sorry about the lack of info, i'm new at this stuff, and guess i'm a little anxious to get my remote working.

RCVR/1308 is what we call a "combo" code, and uses 2-byte hex commands. You cannot use simple EFC's in a key move. Try entering "FF 82" and select the Hex Cmd radio button in the Key Move dialog.

Can you upload the file that contains the learned signal? The one you referenced is the extender file.

I do see a potential problem in your extender file. The key move you want is bound to RCVR L1. Your RCVR button macro is set to Dev_AUX;Phantom1. I don't see where the RCVR device is ever active to invoke the RCVR L1 key move.
