Slingbox + X-Cruiser XDSR200

Post by slingboxer173 »

I brough my Slingbox back to Europe so i can watch my German channels over in the U.S. , everything works fine, picture, sound etc. but i cant control the box, i have tried all the Codes in the Slingbox menu but nothing works, not even power on/off.

If anyone has an idea how to fix it so i can at least control on/off and switch channels up/down i would really appreciate.

Maybe someone knows how its coded, or maybe there is a way to read the codes through Infrared from my computer send by the original remote ?

I tried to see if that box is a clone from another supported brand but no luck

I would even sit down and go through all numbers if needed as long as it takes.

Anyone is geeky enough to advise ?

Thanks in advance !

The simplest solution would be to capture your Sat rcvr's Remote's IR codes using a JP1(.X) remote and downloding the info into IR.exe and reading the decoded signal info.

Barring that, you can use any IR capture device connected to your computer with the CaptureIR software to capture and decode signals,

That would be the first step. Then you would need to use RM to build a matching device upgrade that you could then use to create a BIN file to upload to your Slingbox.

Greece? I'm jealous, I love Greece but haven't been there since 1984. So what on Earth are you doing online when you should be at the beach?
