I downloaded the philips dvd740vr codes for the vcr & dvd halves. Then modified the files to match the buttons and functions for the Philips DVP3050V/37.
I've tested that the dvd functions work when copied and pasted into IR 6.15 with device button DVD on my URC8810 remote. I also tested and confirmed my mods for the VCR section work with the VCR device button on the remote. But so far only one will work at a time. If I have both loaded, only the first one installed will function. Or if I delete the first one, the second loaded will function.
I intall these files into a cleared 8810 so there is no other items to interfere. I've tried using VCR/DVD 1000 for both, changing one to Audio 1000 under General tab/device buttons/type; but always only can get the first one installed to function.
Probably some really simple thing I fouling up, but don't see what it is yet.

First off, you CANNOT change the device type in IR. IR MUST match the device type specified in the upgrade from KM or RM.wrdavis wrote:I've tried using VCR/DVD 1000 for both, changing one to Audio 1000 under General tab/device buttons/type; but always only can get the first one installed to function.
If you created 2 upgrades and used the SAME device type/setup code combination for both, then you're actually overwriting the first one when you paste the second one into IR. Create them with unique device type/setup codes before pasting them into IR.

To be more precise, they are not "overwriting" one another, since you can see them both in IR, but whenever you push a button trying to execute a function from device VCR:1000, it just goes to the FIRST ONE IT ENCOUNTERS in the EEPROM (i.e. the FIrst one you loaded).Mark Pierson wrote: If you created 2 upgrades and used the SAME device type/setup code combination for both, then you're actually overwriting the first one when you paste the second one into IR. The solution is to change the device number (in KM or RM) of one of the devices to, say VCR:1001, and then upload and assign it as a separate device.
