RM Only. No Excel.

BTW, the TV-1410.txt file that you posted will not open in RM. Any ideas why? the TV-1410 is the same code that UEI upgraded my 9962 with (via phone) that works with the PTAE500, so, I would like to be able to use it.

Yes, RM is not yet ready to work with KM files that use the "Manual Settings" option, which is why I mentioned in my previous post that this file uses "Manual Settings". When we see an upgrade that uses an undocumented protocol, KM gives you the option of using "Manual Settings" to program it, but RMis not quite there yet.

Is the IR to KM/RM process difficult? Are ther instructions somewhere?

Not at all, and yes...

Thanks Mark, that worked great.

I had used the protocol before without success, so obviously, the problem was with the device upgrade I was using from RM. Is the device output you posted from KM or is it something you did manually in RM?

Robman: After re-reading your first post, I now understand what your were trying to say to me.

I had read those pages already, but, for some reason, I thought there was some magic tool that I was not aware of. That is the procedure I used initially but hadn't worked due to the issue with the protocols.ini file.

Thanks again.

The code I posted was from Rob's upgrade file, but I used an updated and as-of-yet unreleased version of KM that is using the correct LSB-Comp style signals.

I can open that file in RM v1.22 just fine. What happened when you tried?

RM doesn't support creating upgrades that use Manual Settings. It also doesn't support importing upgrades that use Manual Settings but don't have custom protocol code. Other than that, it can open KM files that use Manual Settings.
