RCA RT2380 Receiver and URC6131

Post by HoosierBubba »

I can't get my URC 6131 to turn power my receiver on or off, also I cannot get it to switch the sources on my receiver to DVD or SAT. Does anyone know of any advanced codes or anything to help with this? I have tried to contact OneForAll but never get a live person, just an answering machine.

What setup code are you using to control the receiver? You might find the necessary advanced codes here.

Got the inputs working now

Well that solved my input problem, but still can't turn the receiver on or off. I am using the code 1254 for the receiver. I can do everything but power it.

I now have the remote doing everything it needs to do! I have to use seperate buttons for powering on and off, but that's ok, at least it works. I had to assign one key using the 219 code to power off, and the 099 code on another key to make it work

In the JP1 world there is a special piece of software called "ToadTog" which can be used to simulate a power toggle button when the only codes available are discrete on and off codes.

I don't think the OP is a JP1 user.

Thanks,
I will be looking more into the JP1 procedures, I have read some about them, and I need to get a cable before I can go further. For the time being, this works though!

Yeah, I know that. I was making the info about ToadTog available, to show that there is a solution for his current problem in the JP1 world.
