Delcom USB firmware ver 11 problem is fixed in version 12

Post by prelude »

Hi, all:

As many of you already know, the version 11 of the USB chip from delcom has a bug.

Click for the symptoms and how to check your USB chip firmware version

Fortunately, delcom will fix the problem in version 12. Here is the delcom's response about the problem:
I found the problem, unfortunately it a firmware problem.
In version 11 we added a fixed that introduced an error with the I2C stop
condition.

This stop condition error only seems to affect some I2C devices. I tried a
whole bunch of I2C device and only one would fail.

The stop error conditions effects I2C writes.

I have now fixed the problem and have released firmware version 12.
Then return your un-used stock and I will ship out replacement chips.
So if any of you bought the USB cable/kit from diygadget.com, please contact me for a replacement.

Thank you.
