I have a Meritline 4x1 HDMI switch with audio.
I captured the signals from the remote, and 2 of them seem to have issues -
The power button has 2 protocols, and when I use the learned signal to turn the switch off, I can't toggle it back on again except with the original remote
The Mute button maps to a decode that IR can't understand.
I have posted the file in the Diagnosis area as:
http://ww.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload. ... le_id=9063
I'd like both to work, but at fortunately these are the two least valuable keys (mute is on the TV and Receiver and this device stays on all the time).
Now to build the upgrade with the keys that work.

Could you do some more learning please.
Could you learn the POWER button to several different buttons on your 15-2116, then do the same for the MUTE button.
I'm looking for things that change between each learn.

Re: Captured Signals for HDMI switch - 2 issues
Hi Andy,
Your Mute and your Power are just bad learns.
When the decoder reports NEC instead of NEC1 or NEC2 it just means that the key wasn't pressed long enough to capture a repeat frame so the type of NEC couldn't be determined.
In this case you can safely assume that the NEC protocols are NEC1.
For the power button, you pressed the power button two times during the learn. Apparently that will turn the TV on but won't power the tv off.

Code: Select all
1 TV Stop_Eject NEC1 0 24 E7 245
2 TV Play NEC1 0 26 A7 247
3 TV Mute NEC 0 2 BF 183
Gap-560-7891-13? 0 72 0.9
4 TV 0 NEC 0 0 FF 181
NEC1 0 0 FF 181
5 TV 1 NEC1 0 8 EF 053
6 TV 3 NEC1 0 12 CF 052
7 TV 4 NEC1 0 14 8F 054
8 TV Up NEC1 0 18 B7 119
9 TV Down NEC1 0 16 F7 117
10 TV 2 NEC1 0 10 AF 055
In this case you can safely assume that the NEC protocols are NEC1.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Please post a follow up to let us know if it worked out OK, and if it did please load a copy of your upgrade file.
If it didn't work, please post the additional learns that I requested.
