Learning setup codes

Post by eddie_bowers »

I'm trying to build a new key map for a Cambridge Soundworks AVS550.
I can learn commands and enter them into the Keymap Master just fine, but I don't know what the Setup Code is.
How do I find this out? Or is this just the internal code that is mapped inside the remote and therefore doesn't matter.

In basic terms, you just pick a number you like from 0000 to 2047. A few considerations apply: 1) don't use a number you are already using for some other device of the same type, 2) if you are basing the upgrade on an existing setup code, we generally add 1000 to it, but that't not mandatory. The Setup Code number is one of the few things in KM where you have the freedom to enter what you like. :)
