8810W and 6012 4.2 Extender

Have my systems up and running with basic JP1 and doing well, but decided to try the Extender capabilities. I followed the instructions in the Install.txt document for the 6012 4.2 extender that appeared to be the one for my 8810, but could not get past the the 7th step where you double click on the modified .bat file. I get the following error msg:

"extinstall is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file"

All of the required programs and files are in the same directory. I am using Windows XP Home Edition and do have anti-virus program activated. What have I done wrong? Thanks for any help.

This message indicates that the Extinstall.exe is not actually in the same directory as the batch file. If not, move it there (assuming you downloaded it)

So, check to make sure it is in fact there and is spelled correctly in the batch file etc.

Thanks for the quick response Nils. You are correct all were in tne same directory except for extinstall.exe. Dumb me!! It is working now and I will continue onward.

Where can I find Extender version 4.2?

There is no version 4.2. I think the subject was a typo and meant to be 2.4. The latest is version 3
