Download problems

Unfortunately when I try "Download Remote" in RM I am now getting the message "SDA is being held low, make sure there are batteries in the remote", even with new batteries fitted.

Any ideas ?

I know that you have a URC-8910 remote, so you must be using an EEPROM interface, but I don't know whether you have a parallel cable or a USB cable.

Regarding the batteries, sometimes new batteries work better, sometimes weaker batteries work better.

Sorry, should have said, it's a USB cable.

And playing tunes on the batteries (removing, replacing, reversing) has no effect.
