I'm trying to add a new code (taken from the files section here) for my Philips DVDR 3575.
Content of the file seemed right. All I did was:
-Opened the file in RM 1.88
-Changed the target remote for Comcast 1067
-Reassigned keys so most are at the right place.
Then I copy/paste the result in IR7.15 with no errors, but the result is nothing is working. I can "see" the IR being emitted with a call phone camera, but my "IRMAN" serial device sees nothing readable. The OEM remote is read fine that way.
If someone as suggestions, let me know... I'm linking to my IR and RMDU files

Keymaster's (Km's) upgrade is showing 4 bytes of fixed data.
RemoteMaster(RM's) upgrade is showing only 2 bytes of fixed data.
To fix this you'll need to edit your
CS301009 (Comcast-URC-1067).rdf
In the protocols section, locate the 0058 protocol and change it to 0058:2.
Once you fix the RDF, you need to go back to RM and recreate the upgrade. I couldn't get the 4 digits of fixed data without doing a file new, and then changing it to rc-6, but I don't know my way around RM.
Good Luck

That solution worked perfectly... Thanks
Would that mean the RDF file need to be updated in the next RDF package release? Or that there are a few variants of the same remote out-there? I'm already aware of the "Grey Select" JP1.2 vs "Red Select" JP1.3, but I thought that was all.
I sure found a good use of those 2 misunderstood JP1.2 Comcast remotes I got for a buck each on eBay.

That's one of the RDF's that need to be updatad. The CS301009 remotes are all the same as far as I know, but I've withdrawn the extender until I can test to make 100% sure.Would that mean the RDF file need to be updated in the next RDF package release?
