I have updated the KM file so that you will be able to switch to the Dreambox remote in RM, but I have no idea whether the resulting upgrade will work or not as I've never written an HCS08 protocol before.

If one of the HCS08 experts is reading this, can you check over my PB file please...

Rob, your PB file did not contain an HCS08 version of this protocol. However, I grabbed the copy out of the KM file, and it looks like you got it almost correct, but somehow some bytes at the end got scrambled around. Anyway, I've updated your PB file with a corrected HCS08 version.

Change the one in the KM notes area to:

Code: Select all

Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 FF (HCS08) TVIX 5000 (PB v4.01)
 20 15 23 47 11 CD 4D 08 08 01 21 03 45 01 21 01
 1A D4 FD 11 A7 08 CB 3F 62 3F 63 6E 03 AA CC FF
 5F
End
Obviously, I don't know if this works or not, but it should do the same as the S3C8 version.

Thanks Mike, I have updated the KM file.

There appears to be a bug in the way PB generates HCS08 code. If you click "Load Generated Code" using this PB file, you'll get the following code:

Code: Select all

0100 20 12 BRA L0114
...
0113 11 DB $11 ;pd0C:
0114 A7 08 L0114: AIS #$08
0116 CB CC FF ADD $CCFF
0119 5F CLRX
whereas it should have looked like this...

Code: Select all

0100 20 15 BRA L0117
...
0113 11 A7 DW $11A7 ;pd0C/0D: Leadin on=9038 uS
0115 08 CB DW $08CB ;pd0E/0F: Leadin off=4502 uS

0117 CC FF 5F L0117: JMP XMITIR

There is a bug in the code generator for the HCS08 which causes that first branch offset to be off by three bytes. I know several people found this a while back, and I've already got it fixed in the next version, which hopefully I can release before too much longer.

5910 is a protocol builder file, this was posted for Mike, you were not supposed to use it. You were supposed to use the KM file that I posted.

I created an RM version for you...

That's a new subject so please start a new thread, and include as much info as possible (TV brand, model no, etc).

one question,

how can i slow down the signals from the upgrade you made?

all buttons i push are sent very very quick. when i want to navigate down, and i push the button for "down", it was sent too fast. so the cursor moved 2 or 3times down.

but only in this upgrade. all other upgrades/settings/keymoves are ok

That probably means that the leadout time is too short, so the executor would need to be fixed in PB. I don't have time to do it myself, so either give it a try yourself or see if someone else can jump in. If this is for a HCS08 remote, be aware of the bug in PB as I don't think Mike has released the fixed version yet.
