RemoteMaster

Post by nuke12 »

When I look at the files included with RemoteMaster, I see I/O library files. Serial, parallel, USB for Windows and serial, parallel for Linux. When I look at all the options in RM, I can't find a place where it does any of that kind of I/O.

Have I missed something or if not, why the files?

I searched the site and couldn't find any mention of this.

It would be really nice if RM could do the current functions IR does. Kind of "one stop shopping".

It does, but it's still in beta, hence not fully functional or documented yet. Add -ir to the command line when you run RM. I don't know what you searched for, but I found THIS without even trying.

Thanks. Very interesting.

Like all these sites, searching is kind of a skill. I searched for "RemoteMaster serial parallel usb". I also made it an exclusive search for all terms because I knew a search for any term would bring up too much.

My guess is, you knew the post existed and who made it, plus some terms that were used.

Its a lot easier to find things when you have followed a site for a long time. I've been on both sides of this search thing.

Thanks again.

No problem. People often claim to have searched when they really didn't. Clearly not the case with you. My apologies.

Enjoy RM-IR.
