Hi Larry,
The 8910 IS a learning remote. You should be able to learn some signals to get you through until you get your cable.

You also might want to check out the Proceed PAV upgrade in the file section under Audio in the file section.

I believe you may be able to do a modem type upgrade with the 8910 to try out that upgrade.


You have two avenues, learning the keys, or doing a modem upgrade.

You've got a lot of reading to do.

Thanks for the info.

I will check out the modem upgrade for the Proceed AVP. Unfortunately, the Proceed AVP and PAV use entirely different remotes. I also know that even though the remotes are different the codes might be the same...more research. The AVP does have a learning feature built into the unit that is specifically designed to teach a learning remote. The IR signal is transmitted from the unit itself.

My wife has complained about the many remotes we have and I am trying to make the remote as easy to use as possible.
