OFA EFC codes for DVD 2 panasonic device

I have a whole list of EFCs for dvd code 0490 (DVD 1) from OFA - I may need to change to DVD 2 on the remote, due to a second dvd machine...

Is there a simple way of using these EFCs on the dvd 2 code ( can't remember the set up code off the top of my head),or converting them to dvd 2 code; or do I need to pester OFA for them?

Some I can't learn, as they are missing from the original remote.

If the setup code for the DVD 2 signal set uses the same protocol executor as DVD/490 uses (rather than a combo executor) then it will use exactly the same EFC numbers as DVD/0490

I thought the Panasonic DVD 2 setup code was DVD/1010, which is not built-in for any OFA model, so you would need an upgrade to have that.

You really should include more info (such as model of OFA remote and whether your DVD 2 setup code needed an upgrade). That tends to get you a better answer.

Sorry - I was away from my desk when I posted, so didn't have all the details at hand

Anyway I think you are right on code 1010, but I hadn't realised that it wasn't already in the OFA remote.

Kam 6 urc8060 remote btw.

DVD/1010 uses the Panasonic protocol with a main device code of 176 and a sub device code of 16, so here's what you do, you download the upgrade file for any Panasonic DVD player where you'll find that 176 is already the device code, but the sub-device code will be blank, so change it to 16.

Then change the setup code to 1010 (just to keep things official) and change the selected remote to the URC-8060.

If you have a JP1 cable, you already know what to do. If you don't, you can use IR.exe to create a WAV file which will allow you to load the upgrade into your remote via it's modem.
