problem with the TV code

Post by jerma »

I forgot to ask this on the first post.

On the TV update for Finlux 82GX60++ , there is a problem with num 0, it is the only code that does not work. I tryed to learn it again for a few times, but the result was allways the same. So now i have the num 0 as learned, and all the others as coded.

Any fix for this one ?

I compared that upgrade to the other Finlux upgrade in the same folder.

The choice of LSB-comp on the setup sheet of that other upgrade slightly hides the similarity. But looking at that similarity makes it clear that the OBC for the '0' command in your upgrade should be 001, not 000 as it is now.

Not only that, but there are a few extra functions listed in the other upgrade that you don't have. Some of these might work on your set also:

OBC Function
065 Sound
067 Picture
069 Extra
089 Time
107 Hold
111 Inv
119 Program
123 Green
125 Yellow

Thanks for the replys !

I'll change the key0 code. Also i'll try out these new codes, add them if they work, and repost.

I tryed out the other Filux update-file earlyer, but it didn't work at all. I think the correction was to change the signal type from LSB-comp to LSB.

Also...

As i was learning buttons from the original remote for the Finlux TV, i saw a 6-pin connector inside the battery slot. They were all inline, not like the JP1 connector.

Can i learn anything new with this from the remote ?

:D

Not so fast. The other file uses a different protocol than the file you posted, so the signals could be different (though I haven't checked that).

The user who created it used OBC mode and selected LSB-COMP as the style, but the OBC numbers that he entered are obviously (to the trained eye) complimented. So, if you were to just change the style to LSB you would actually change the signals created and the upgrade wouldn't work. What John and myself did was use the SWAP button to switch the codes to EFCs, then change the syle to LSB. This just changes the way to EFCs are represented in OBC format, it doesn't change the actual signals generated. When we did this the OBCs displayed were exactly the same as yours, except the '0' button and the other codes I posted.

OK.

I checked the codes, and changed the key 0 to OBC 001. I also renamed the button names a bit. I did not add the extra keys, becauce some of them are allready coded on my update (but not assined to any buttons).

The new file has replaced the old one.

I'm not sure what list you're looking at. Comparing your new file to the old one I see that you've added the GREEN (sound), YELLOW (vision) and HOLD (stop) codes that I posted, but you're still missing the following codes:

OBC EFC Function
065 030 Sound
067 028 Pict
069 031 Extra
089 222 Time
111 125 Inv
119 061 Program
255 181 Text off

If you're willing, could you please test these extra codes to see if they perform any function on your device. If they do, please include them in the KM file (even if they're not assigned to buttons).

Hi.

I tryed out the extra codes with the following results:

OBC EFC Function
065 030 Sound -> nothing
067 028 Pict -> nothing
069 031 Extra -> nothing
089 222 Time -> nothing
111 125 Inv -> nothing
119 061 Program -> same as menu/blue
255 181 Text off -> nothing

I can see that the TV is getting something, sence the led is blinking but the codes just don't do anything. Maby this is cause my tv does not have those functions ?

And for something completely different. I noticed that if i program menu to the menu button on TV mode, after using scroll to view the next page, the menu is no longer assined, is it sopose to do that ?

In that case, I would recommend that you include the additional function in the KM file, but add notes stating that they don't work with your set but may work with someone else's, if their set has these options.

Which remote are you using? While this doesn't sound like normal behaviour, I do recall that the remotes in the URC-7560 model line have some strange behaviour where the buttons in the middle of the remote change from volume controls to menu controls in certain situations (or something like that, I totally forget the specifics).

The Finlux TV update file has now the extra key codes.

I haven't found a cure yet for the problem, that a coded button doesn't work on the same device, on another scrolled screen.

I started a new thread for you, over in the general JP1 forum, on this topic...
