But as previously explained, that is unnecessary now. Back then, the limit on upgrade memory was a hard limit, but now IR will simply overflow any excess upgrades into other unused memory areas.

Fine. Is that fully dynamic? Which means will IR simply set the border in the middle of the free ...

The 8910 can't use any other eeprom size. There is nothing an extender could do to fix that. The 8910 doesn't just fail to use the extra space. It fails to use the eeprom at all if it is too big.

Well thanks for saving me some time :) That is too bad! Not to hijack the thread - but how hard is ...

Hi all,

I just got a Pioneer LX5080D with a Remote AXD1551. I wanted to integrate the codes to my 8910. I ran into problems!
I learned all codes matching the Pioneer mixed protocol. BUT I found that 5 keys produced another combination that I was not able to get into Remote master. I just later ...

Hardware for a Denon AVR.-3803

Hello all,

I do have a Denon AVR-3803. It has a conector on the backside to hook up a seperate IR receiver. I only found the CR-1 promotion kit that consists of an IR-Receiver and a box that seems to have a littile amp. in there. They ask a round 130$ for it!!! I think that is too expensive for it ...

Is It that easy? :o The name simply stands in the memory as plain text.
OK that mystery is now solved, I will change the RDF an initial files accordingly.
I changed my ir-file with your information and used your RDF é voila IR automatically opens using the correct RDF. Great!
(3) I note, however ...

I did some additional investigation on that. The only way I found to stop that behaviour is to remove the normal and the xshifted definition from the device and keymove area. The only definition now is the shift-power keymove that actually is doing the IR-code.
In that configuration the first punch ...
