JP1 Remotes

The 2.03 Alpha and the suggested rdf files have got me talking to the remote. I can now seek to construct an upgrade.

I have one of these remotes and cannot find the appropriate rdf file. Has this problem been resolved ?

2004 worked perfectly. Many many thanks. When you get a moment please point me to some references where I can learn about how you analysed the rmdu file. Again many thanks

OK so I posted the file which partially works as follows :-
numbers 1 thu 8 , ok, menu, up,left,right are all ok
9 gives volume up, zero and down dont work and neither do the colours.

Thanks again for your advice. Havent managed to get anything working so far. I think the remote might be flakey .
I go through the whole process of adapting an uograde give it a code of 2001 load it into the remote with apparent success. I then use sat - magic - 02001 and get 2 blinks. I press sat ...

I think I am missing something here or my 3940 is misbehaving. this is what happens :-
I load the upgrade nfusion nova from the files section
I change the remote to 3940 and the type from cable to Sat.
I get a message about button allocations so I go ...

The 7550 is a JP1 remote, and has an EEPROM. Filling the EEPROM with 0xFFs shouldn't brick it. However, at the least, you do need to do a 981 reset or even remove the batteries, wait for a while, and then replace. Ok so some more progress thanks. I now have tv on tv key and azamerica working well on vcr key, I even found an error in the AZAmerica upgrade and have corrected it. ( Not sure how to offer the correction to everyone)
Now when I try to add the AZBox upgrade in ir I see nowhere where I can assign the ...

Here is what I hope to acheive :-
On a urc7557 the Tv button should control Toshiba 26av502 , the vcr button should control AZAmerica Satellite s900 box, the dvd button a coolsat 6000 sat box,and the sat button an AZBox HD Premium satellite box. (I am a satellite junkie !!)

I think so. I have now succeeded in getting the pic size and the input to work on the 7557. I then discovered that I needed the direction arrows and the OK in order to make a selection. I would like to create a new upgrade. First for the TV which is most urgent and then later and as my skills develop for the satellite boxes which at the moment have working remotes.
