Ok, I got my interface, hooked it up to the computer and remote, installed the driver, unzipped all the files. I opened the program and clicked download from remote and get the message:

Thanks, I have actually done some of these things already. I was careful to order the correct cable that will work with my remote. And I have now downloaded the specific RDF for my remote.
I'm slowly working my way through some of this. It's a lot of info! But I'm game to learn, not easly ...
