JP1 Remotes

I just got the wire from DIY Gadget. I installed the driver and set IR.exe for the JP1 USB interface. When I try to check the interface or download from the remote, I get 2 different messages (not at the same time, on one try I'll get one message, and then a few tries later I'll get another, even ...

The 1023 code is the one that works with my Pioneer receiver on my 8910 remote. Some buttons were missing for all of my components, so I just learned them to the 8910, then transferred them over to Keymoves.

However, this doesn't seem to work with my Pioneer receiver buttons. I found a tip a while ...

stangbat, funny thing, the problem with mine is that it won't work with the batteries OUT (my 8811 needed to have the batteries out). Weird.

I just got my URC-8910 to replace my 8811. I attached my JP1 parallel cable to the remote, and when I tried to download it I got the following message:

"Did not receive a response (acknowledgment) from the remote after sending bus address. (ErrNo=6, Param=0)"

I'm using the most recent IR program ...

The right arrow on my 8811 has stopped working, so I have to buy new remote. They don't make the 8811 anymore, so the 8910 is the way to go.

I was just wondering if I can move me settings from the 8811 to the 8910 using JP1?
