I've also started my wiki on my own hosted site at jp1.fosketts.net.

I can confirm that Keymap-Master v9.08 works in Excel 2007 on Vista. Of course, I switched to RemoteMaster so it doesn't matter so much to me! :)

Sony Mega Changer CDP-CX400 devices

FYI, I just upped a device upgrade for the Sony CDP-CX400 which includes all three devices and all remote codes for the included RM-DX400 remote.

For posterity, I was pleased to learn that the three supported megachangers simply use different device codes. The OBCs remained the same for all!

Here ...

For posterity, here are a few more codes missing from the official Denon docs for the AVR-x87 series:

Denon 2, OBC 115, EFC 651, INPUT MODE AUTO
Denon 2, OBC 117, EFC 648, INPUT MODE DTS
Denon 2, OBC 116, EFC 388, INPUT MODE PCM

I tried the Device Combiner protocol, but it was tough going. My Denon work used the hacked Denon combo protocol, which is all two byte codes and thus unsupported by the Device Combiner. I split it up by device but then ran up against the fact that the DC doesn't support Denon-K, which is also a two ...

Needed: Denon and Denon-K device combiner

I'm working on creating a grand unified device upgrade for modern (x87) Denon receivers (per my other thread ). But they use a combination of Denon (device 2, 4, and 12) and Denon-K commands. I haven't been able to locate a combiner protocol for these two protocols and don't know if I'm up to the ...

Creating an upgrade is my next step. I've already entered all the Denon device codes into a spreadsheet and am now moving on to the Denon-K codes...

There are lots of functions here that my tuner's remote didn't include! And this is especially important since the built-in Denon setup codes from UEI ...

OK that was quick! The Denon-K commands on the last page work out thus:
1) They all seem to be device 4
2) Subdevice matches the GENRE2 flag, which corresponds to a zone number. So most are subdevice 1 for zone 1.
3) The value in the "No." column IS the OBC - so for example OBC155 on device 4 ...

Modern Denon codes

I recently bought a Denon AVR-587 receiver and have been working out the codes for it. I just stumbled on an excellent resource! The Denon web site has a PDF file listing all of the codes for the AVR-987, and they appear to be compatible with the lower models.

Here's how to work it out:
1) Get the ...

Let me clarify:

I don't want to run off and create some parallel structure to what we already have (and value) here in the forum if people don't want it. I think it would be helpful, but it's not just me here...

As for copying info - I wasn't sure about the copyright status and such. I don't want ...

This is exactly why I think we need a wiki. Think what we could do with our JP1 documentation if we could all contribute and edit it!

I'll repeat my offer: I will host a wiki on my own paid hosted server for the JP1 documents. All I need is agreement that this is a good thing and permission to dump ...

I agree that a lot of this documentation could be moved to a Wiki. We could use Wikia or Wikibooks, though the latter might not be right for this kind of varied articles. See http://audreyhacking.com for something similar.

I also have a hosted domain with wiki software and would be willing to host ...
