If the remote has a FAV button the remote might have a FAV/SCAN function. Not all remotes with a FAV button have this functionality. If your remote has this functionality, UEI lets you program in a list favorite channels to the FAV key. When you press the FAV key, the remote will loop through the channel list, changing channels every two seconds until the FAV key is pressed again.
Many extenders change the behavior of the FAV/SCAN. Extenders process FAV/SCAN lists as a series of macros. Read your extender documentation to see how your extender uses the FAV list.
