IR7.07 and JP1.2 cable will not download URC-1067

When attempting to download from remote I get a "failed to open JP1.x interface". Oddly enough the remote blinks twice but nothing else happens.

I have the JP1.2 cable using the Serial port.

Any ideas.

Where did you get your interface?
Does it work with another JP1.x remote?
Have you searched for similar problems in these forums?

Yes. Worked before.
Yes. Cannot find anything specific.

What Capn linked is what I was getting at, but your answer #2 (yes it worked before) has me puzzled. Can you elaborate?

Which vendor and which interface? Does the link Capn linked pertain to you?
What remote did you try it on, when? Can you try again?

Yes I bought it from DIY. I will need to the test per Capn when I have an opportunity.

Another weird thing is that I have two 1067's. On one of them it will not work at all. On the other it will upload but not download.

I will report back as soon as I can.
