|

I have a Sony DVP-NS425P Progressive Scan DVD player, and am trying to use it with both a standard TV and projector. In order to switch automatically, I need to turn progressive scan on/off, but can't figure out how to do it.....
The only button for progressive/interlaced is on the front of the unit - there is no button on the remote that came with it, and not even a menu option so that I could do it with a macro....
I'd appreciate any help or ideas - I've looked at every file I can find and don't see a code for this anywhere. |

This site has most, if not all, the sony codes.
There may not be an IR code for it.
If there is an IR code, a JP1 cable and a learning JP1-compatible remote might help you find it - do you have a JP1 cable and a learning JP1 remote?
For simple protocols, with a UEI remote, if you have found the correct setup code for the DVD and you are missing just a few functions, you can point the remote at the device and check out all 256 possible EFCs by pressing set-0-0-0, set-0-0-1, set-0-0-2, ... set-2-5-5 and see what happens after each one.

If there's nothing in that list of Sony codes Steve referenced, then my guess is that the progressive scan output feature isn't available as a remote command. I've never owned a P/S player, but I think the output is an either/or proposition and not meant to be switched during normal usage. _________________ Mark |
