Just download the latest Java runtime (and know where you install it). Then right-click on the RemoteMaster.JAR file and browse to the javaw.exe file in the Java runtime directory. Select "Always open with" to make sure you can double-click JAR files in the future. Works like a champ.

When I double-click on it, I get an error box:
This trial installation has expired.
I'm using a legal copy of XP Pro with the correct time and date.
Is it possible to work around this?
Also, why is that file so very much larger than the platform-independent version?
TIA
Jim

The "Windows Native" version of RM was built using a trial version of Excelsior JET.
That trial version has expired.
I suggest you use the Java platform independent version until we get a license for Excelsior JET.
The reason it is so much bigger is that it includes the entire Excelsior run time environment, which includes a Java runtime.
