The 9800 uses the older "P8/740" processor and that upgrade file only contains code for the newer "S3C8+" processor. Unless one of the 740 experts can convert that custom protocol for you, you won't be able to use that upgrade unfortunately. _________________ Mark |

The trouble with this particular upgrade file is that it contains a homemade custom protocol and the author only created a version for the S3C8 remotes (which covers the vast majority of JP1 remotes).
Somebody would have to create another custom protocol for the Mits/740 remotes in order for you to be able to use this upgrade with your URC-9800 remote, and I don't know how likely that is going to happen as we only have one Mits/740 expert (and it's not me! ) _________________ Rob

That file's got the same problem... it uses a custom protocol for the newer processors and would need to be re-written for your 9800. _________________ Mark |

I'm having the exact same problem, except I have a URC-8820.
I'm assuming though that it's the same problem - this was designed for the SC38 and my 8820 is actually a HCS08? |
