Hi,
I am considering buying a couple (maybe 3) of the 9910 to use from various rooms in my house:
Will all of the remotes work with just the one RF receiver/IR transmitter?
The RF receiver/IR transmitter looks to have only one IR emitter - I have 4 devices that need controlling - is there anyway I can buy extra emitters and connect these to the RF receiver/IR transmitter?
Anyone have any negative comments on this remote? (I'm already aware I need to aviod the donut ring arrow keys)
Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes. All of the RF Receiver/IR Transmitters (base stations) are identical, so ANY 9910 will activate ANY base station. Unfortunately, you cannot buy JUST an extra 9910. They always come with a base station, so you're likely to end up with extra base stations. But they may be the solution to your second question.hagglelad wrote: Will all of the remotes work with just the one RF receiver/IR transmitter?
To my knowledge, you cannot attach more than one IR emitter (blaster or "dongle") to the base station. I recall an earlier thread here many months ago about this, and I suppose you can try to hack a splitter of some sort to activate multiple dongles, but I'm not sure how you ensure the right amount of power going to each one and that sort of circuit design stuff.hagglelad wrote:The RF receiver/IR transmitter looks to have only one IR emitter - I have 4 devices that need controlling - is there anyway I can buy extra emitters and connect these to the RF receiver/IR transmitter?
You could use multiple base stations with their IR blasters to achieve this effect, as they will all respond to the RF signal of EACH remote.
However, you seem to be overlooking that this transmitter is NOT limited to sending IR via the attached IR blaster. The base station ITSELF has a built-in pretty powerful wide-beam IR emitter. In fact, most people use the thing without using the extra add-on IR blaster. You just have to position the base station such that it bathes your components with its IR signal.
Nope - I use it (or it's clone the HT Pro) and it works great, I love its customisability using the extender.hagglelad wrote:Anyone have any negative comments on this remote? (I'm already aware I need to aviod the donut ring arrow keys)

There are IR emitter cables available with multiple IR heads on them, so check ebay and any other retailer that you can think of. I think OFA uses a non-standard plug on their cables, so you might need to swap the plugs if you were to get a dual head cable.
Here's a couple of dual head cables on ebay...
