ISO Emotiva LMC-1 Discrete on/off

Post by rmassey »

I have created a new device code for the newly released Emotiva LMC-1 Pre-Amp here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=3389

I am trying to find any/all discrete codes for this device, exp. on/off.

So far I have tried all OBC from 0-125, still working my way up to 255. I am doing this via KM and assigning unused OBCs to the 10 keys buttons, 10 at a time and then uploading it into a OFA 8910 to test. Is there a quicker way to just manually key in the OBC values into the remote?

1. Device: Emotiva LMC-1
2. Type of device: Pre-Amp/Processor
3. Year: 2006
4. JP1 Remote model: OFA 8910
5. JP1 user? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes (added my device upgrade file)
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes - LMC-1 is too new
9. Partially working setup code? _ see my Device upgrade link above
10. Learning remote question? Is there a quicker way to just manually key in the OBC values into the remote?

Not OBCs but EFCs.

If the appropriate device is your active device in the remote (and you are NOT running the extender) simply pressing "Set, X, Y, Z" will - upon pressing "Z" - result in sending the signal corresponding to EFC XYZ.

You can cycle through all EFCs this way, but it is rather tedious. I think the way you are doing it is more efficient, but I would make upgrade that use all of the buttons, and make three or four differnet ones and add them to the remote under different device buttons, Like TV could have an upgrade covering OBCs 000-031, CD could cover 032-063, etc. Then with eight upgrades, each assigned to a different device button, you go and test them all in one swoop.

Thanks Capn. I'll give it a try.

Yes, I could make more use of buttons/device on the remote, good idea.
