|
|
Hello all!
I am trying to put a Noos Sagem compatible cable box to work with SlingBox. I have downloaded the device upgrade file (http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=2590) and opened it using RM v1.60.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but my next step would be going to Advanced-->Export binary Upgrade and create a .bin file which would be used by SlingBox.
But the Export Binary Upgrade is grayed-out. I am not able to use it.
Also, I have noticed that in the Output tab of RM the Upgrade Protocol Code is empty - only the Device Upgrade Code contains data.
What am I doing wrong? Please help! |

The upgrade may not require a protocol upgrade if the protocol is already resident in the remote (Slingbox).
The reason you don't have the export to binary upgrade available sounds like you have not changed the remote to Slingbox. Only if you have selected Slingbox (and you must pick the correct version of Slingbox for it to work with your Slingbox) will that option be available.
...and IF you correctly choose Slingbox, you may in fact have to include a protocol upgrade - but that would all be included in the single bin file created. _________________ Beginners - Read this thread first
