Curiosity: Why are some upgrades done through Keymoves?

Post by unclemiltie »

I've always wondered this, but it's become more of a curiosity lately since I'm having trouble with upgrades that have keymoves in them.

There are often some portions of upgrades done in both KM and RM that use keymoves instead of putting those keys in upgrades. I think shifted keys are always done as keymoves, but there are others.

Why is this?

Normally these type of key moves are done because the button is NOT part of the default key map for the selected device mode. For example, most CABLE devices don't offer use of the transport keys but they're available as key moves. It's one of the "power-user" features of JP1! ;)
