I have a whole bunch of advanced codes which One-For-All has emailed me over the years. Is there some place I should upload them to?

Have you checked the advanced codes section to make sure there not duplicates of what is there.

Also, there is a UEI Official section of the upgrade file area. You can upload them there.

I have some which are not duplicates. Can I add to that collection? It seems not.

Actually, that folder isn't for code lists, it's for KM/RM upgrades that replicate official UEI codes. The idea is that if someone knows that they want TV/0178 for example, they might be able to download it from there.

Yes, they seem to be RM and KM files, not Advanced Code lists. I know I could convert one to the other, modulo the modulo 256 problem, but its a lot of work to do on spec.

Thanks -- Vincent

The powers that be could expand the definition of UEI Official to include code lists. Is there an icon for that?

I am the powers that be, but I don't want to change the way we use that folder. Instead, I have created a new folder for this purpose, so feel free to load your code lists there...

So, is this for code pages which are not in http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=27 and, therefore, might evolve to be a staging area. Or should we place all known code pages in the new section.

The two folders are un-related. The other folder is for KM or RM upgrade files that happen to match UEI setup codes, the new folder is for the code lists that UEI mails out.

I was asking about the relationship between the new folder and the old code page folder at Remote Central.

Then you'll have to provide a link to the "old code page folder at Remote Central" as I don't know which page you are referring to. Your previous post linked to one of my folders.

I may be muddying the waters here, but I believe the question is about a possible relationship/link between this new section with "Code lists" and THIS SECTION of "Advanced Code Lists" on your site, Rob.

That's what I was trying to say.

Thanks -- Vincent
