Hi.
I recently sent my URC-6131 into OFA for the upgrade. I want to control my Pioneer 1014 receiver, which it would not beyond a few basic functions.
The code they installed was the AMP0013 code, which I've read is the right one. Fine, the 6131 blinks twice when I program it in. But the functions on the Pioneer 1014 are still limited to on/off, volume, and that's about it.
I'd like the thing to be able to change the Surround modes.
So I go to the advanced codes list for 0013 and try some of these advanced codes. Sure, it blinks twice. But the function is not there. They don't work.
What am I doing wrong? Is this 6131 -- even upgraded -- just not going to accept advanced codes for a Pioneer 1014 receiver, which is very popular? Am I using the wrong codes? Sigh. I am genuinely confused right now. |

Speaking from memory, I believe those Pioneer commands are two-part commands that you cannot enter via direct EFC entry on the keypad. You need to use JP1 to program keymoves/advanced codes for this device. |

If I sent the remote in to OFA for a code upgrade, it should also now be JP1 compatible, too, right? |

Yes, what OFA will do is replace your remote with a new 6131 that was manufactured JP1 capable. |
