Is that an error message from Windows or IR?

If you are using Windows XP, make sure your user account has administrator rights.

I went to insert tv pahntom 1 into my macro (between the last ffw and the play) but there was not botton in the drop down list to do so.

The Atlas DVR remote in KM offer both a phantom1 and phantom2 button. using the upgrade file you mentioned, I was able to create .5 and 1 second pause key moves.

Upgrade KeyMoves 0 = 0C 50 (TV/1104)
3C 04 04 50 00 52«0.5 seconds» ¦3D 24 04 50 00
92«1 second»
End

Use the Import button on the Key Moves tab to paste this code into IR.

Mark,

Thanks for the help, I'll use the Phantom 1 and/or 2 for the skip.

PS Rob, if you read this I know you are the moderator here so I do not want to incurr your wrath, but, I asked a separate question for you with your name in the subject re your new IR Beta file with an RDF file inside the folder itself for an atlas dvr/pvr 5, the exact remote I have. I tried to use it but only got messages that I was not "priveledged" to use it or something like that. I asked you what was up (I use beta programs all the time for other applications if they are posted out there for the public's eyes with no problems). To this date I have recieved no reply from you on the matter. ?

I am not the creator of the IR program, I just announced it, it would be up to the author of the program to respond and my guess is that he's too busy working on it to be checking messages about it.

We're not really looking for bug reports yet. I only made the Alpha version available for URC-9960B01 users, it's not up to beta status yet.

I replied to that inquiry but you never responded. I wasn't clear on exactly what error you were geting or where it was coming from.

It would also make it easier for everyone if you only posted using one account. Confused

I downloaded the file on 11/20. When I tried to open it and use it it said "not a priveledged user" or something like that and would not open.

Did I do something wrong?

I have an atlas dvr/pvr 5-device

I should add to my last post. I could open the file but when I tried to "check interface" or "download" from remote I got the message "not priveledged" to use and it would not do anything.

Once again (already answered here), if you're using Windows XP (or Windows 2000) you MUST have administrator rights on your user account for IR to be able to load it's hardware interface driver.

I have a Sci Atl Explr 8000. Is there a "9-9-4 Setup" code for 30 second skip?

A "9-9-5 Setup" Macro can be made to Skip 30 seconds ahead on the Time Warner box. Using the Atlas 5 remote that comes with the box, pgm the following key-presses into 1 of the 3 "I-Control" keys located across the center of the remote.

1. Set
2. 9-9-5
3. I-Control
4. CBL
5. FFWD
6. FFWD
7. TV
8. Mute
9. TV
10 Mute
11. CBL
12. Play
13. Set

More info can be found on pg 27 & 28 of the Atlas remote handbook that ships with the Time Warner/Scientific Atlanta 8000 DVR.

The lack of 30-sec skip on 8000hd was the main reason I made a jp1 cable to program my urc9800 and was disappointed when I realized the code for it no longer worked. I had a commercial skip button with my old Dish Network DVR and hated not having it on this cable box. I'm very much a beginner learning how to use jp1, but the key sequence macro works great, thanks! Very Happy

Thanks for the macro, tallwave! Works pretty well for me, too.

FYI, I did have to repeat the process three times in order to load it into each of the key's button presses.
