Different versions of the URC 8910?

I recently purchased a URC-8910 from best buy ($48!!), so I returned it for a cheaper 8910 on the net. Problem is the one I purchased at best buy had four seperate buttons instead of the navigation ring. Is one or the other an update to the model and which am I most likely to get if I order online? I prefer the seperate buttons.

The model with the individual buttons is the newer one. Other than that feature, they're identical.
