I've got a dish pvr 721 with the platinum remote. I took the case off last night and it looks like I have a spot for jp1 that has traces connected to it. I'm attaching a picture to get an opinion of whether or not this thing is JP1 compatible. The whole reason I want to change the codes is to add a volume code for my Philips FR965 receiver. I may just opt for a URC6131 and be done. Thanks in advance for any help.

The standard JP1 pinout is:
Code: | (2) (4) (6)
(1) (3) (5) |
while that picture shows:
Code: | (4) (5) (6)
(1) (2) (3) |
Given that, I don't think it's a UEI/JP1 remote. _________________ Mark |

I don't see the same six labels Mark sees. I see JP3, JP2, JP1 each of which seems to be an independent 2 pin jumper position.
But I agree that it is NOT the 6-pin JP1 connection we need, even if it is the same physical layout of six holes in a remote's PC board. |

I saw the same 3 labels as you John. I then made the assumption that the other 3 would either be 4, 5, and 6, or individual jumpers like you said. _________________ Mark |

You do realize that the 6131 is not JP1-enabled out of the box, correct? _________________ Mark |

If you want a JP1-ready URC-6131, I have them available for sale. _________________ Rob
